No matter what it looks like it will be 110% better than shelling out the $300 for an all steel one.

I appricate any comment i get on the work i do, good or bad

I am always up for new ideas or ways to do it better

Telling my frineds (also cherokee owners) the stuff i do kinda falls on def ears cause they dont build anything or understand half of it cause they have me to do all that stuff for them. So this build page gives me an audience/feedback that i need to stay motivated to build "cool ****"

go 1.75in just my .02. Just grind the tacks down nice and smooth and be gentle with the grinding wheel. And be sparing with the filler. If your really good you wont need filler. But you already knew that. I hate filler. Scuff it up with some 320 grit. A light wet-sanding with 400 grit and rhino line that thing.

i use a grinding disk to knock the highest stuff down then when i get close i bust out the assortment of flap disks. starting at 60 and move up a few then go to sand paper on metal. I might skim coat the whoel thing with filler before i shoot it but doubt there really is a need if i go the bedliner route. time will tell

i like your control arm idea alot. i like the way you welded them together. i also wish i had the tools and know how to do all the stuff you do.

i love workin on it haha.

keep it up. i love all your ideas even though you do everything for your friends.

when i make one thing i keep all my templates from all mock up so its super easy to turn more out. sometimes i can make a little cash off of them so it doesnt really bother me. Just nicer to put it on here and hopefully have it appreciated

The upper control arms werent planned out i just started tring stuff. Those where my third design that came from a failed 2nd design. I am really happy with the uppers compared to stock. The drop is a beefed up knock off of Rough countrys. I looked at a bunch of pictures on the computer of them and then just figured them out.

anyone can do this stuff. 4in grinder and someone you know with a welder is a start. or a comunity college welding class and use there tools (how i got everything plasma cut, best $200 i ever spent)

I might try to when i get laid off next winter. I need a few more cool tools before i try to make any money. I can cut for 4 hours with a grinder to get a job done when a plasma cutter would take 15minutes. and my time is short (50 hrs a week work, 2 kids under 3, and a highmatience wife)

and i wouldnt make anything that would make me liabile for injury. im thinking bumper f/b, and bolt on tube flares (just cause i hate bushwackers, $450s gets destroyed with one little tree)

and maybe the shackle relocation boxes just cause they are a good %500 percent stronger than stock mounting

sounds like you got alot of things other then a jeep to maintain. awesome that you can maintain all that stuff. haha. whatever it is, your wife and kids are way more important then anything a jeep has to offer. i know im only 19, but id take care of them before worrying about something for your jeep haha. my one friend had a plasma cutter. it was awesome.

i have solid works 2008, inventor, and auto cad. They are all well and good in theory but i dont really work that way. problem has to be infront of me before i can come up with/make a solution. and i use crap to build stuff, crap meaning what ever i have laying around. kinda hard to punch the dimentions of a jack handle (shaft of upper control arms) into a program
