Thanks for wishful thinking. I am more of a thick metal guy, thin is guna be a bit of a change. I am guna use one of my 110v welders instead of my 220v. should help a little.
If i do butcher this one i still have 2 more back up hoods to murder so im not all that worried about it if i do mess it up. But since my time is so limited these days i would like to hit it first try.
once i get the hood done i have to welding a few small patch panels and ill be ready for paint (or rhino liner)

it actually isnt that hard to weld. it will be a few hundred little tacks (metal will warp if to hot) . the crappy part will be finishing it. im not a body man and never claimed to be.
hopfully i will get to work on it next week end
I am still tring to figure hieght out in my head. 1.25, 1.5 or 1.75. Im sure it will be easier once i get all of that stupid glue oout of there and can mock it up and get a good visual
