Nice ride. We both share a similar set up with our Jeeps. What size are those Duratracs?

Any problems with that 0331 Head yet?

Duratracs are 245/75/16 and I love them!

I haven't had any head problems yet, I'm currently sitting at 102k on the motor. I've heard the the 2000-01s can have head problems. Do you know what happens to the heads specifically, and around what mileage it happens?

Looks good, it will look even nicer with that lift. I'm guessing you've got a little bit of rubbing as it sits now?

Sudden lose of coolant. Slight crack in between Cylinder #3 & #4.
If your oil cap looks like this:

I had two 2000s, with 90,xxx+ plus and luckily I didn't have any problems. I decided to not even risk it and get a 99' this time lol.

Jeep looks great btw!

Did have some rub at stock height. The fat bob's lift cured it. Those top rear shackle bolts were a real bear. The front was a breeze once I rented a strut spring compressor. Still working on the driver's side steering stabilizer bolt. What shocks are you running.

Running stock on the front still (that will change soon), and monroe magnums on the rear (same as old man emu shocks, half the price with out the OME sticker). Love them!

Doubtful. OME quality is second to none IMO, but that's just me.

So what other plans you got for this thing? Armor?

Quote: I prefer the Duratracs to MTRs, however I also use my Jeep as a daily driver. The MTR's were really noisy, and were terrible in the rain, almost dangerous. I would fishtail around roundabouts when it was raining. However, they were amaizing on the trails, great in the snow, mud, sand, rocks, etc. They also had a surprisingly long tread life, I had almost 50k on mine. So from that aspect they were an amazing tire. It really comes down to what you want to do with them. For me I wanted something that was safe on the highway, good in the snow and rain, but also had great offroad performance.

What size duratracs are you running and are you using spacers with the moabs.
I am build 2001 classic with a 3" RC series 2 lift.

hey man, ive seen you have 16" MOAB wheels with im assuming 31x10.50's? have you had to do any trimming? they look sort of stuffed, and I might have come across a good deal, but I dont want to trim the wheel wells and fenders.
thanks

31's would be a little tight in there. The Rubicons came with 245/75/16's, which translates to 30.5 inches in diameter. Because of the backspacing on the moab wheels you can run into a little rubbing in two spots. When I first purchased the wheels, they came with the stock Goodyear MTR's that had around 25k on them. I had no rubbing in the front, and only a little rubbing on the top outside edge of the fender flare when the rear suspension was fully compressed. I put on the new duratracs right before I went on my offroading trip to CO. I discovered that with fresh tires they rubbed in a couple more areas. One was just inside the front bumper end caps when turning and when the front suspension is compressed. This was fixed by some very simple trimming, and most people have told me it still looks stock and can't even tell I trimmed it. The rear bumper end cap also has a spot that saw some rubbing when offroading, but I've yet to trim those.

hope this helps, let me know if you have anymore questions.

this is literally exactly what i plan on doing with my new xj, hadn't planned on ditching the shackles for the OME gear...but i want to keep factory ride quality. you've inspired me. check out my build thread :https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/pr...t-jeep-112550/
