Were your rear leaf springs sagging when you added the AAL? Looking at a 2" lift kit but don't want to do the AAL cause my rears are just flat.
Nice build!

I used Shackles, didn't like them so I bought full leaf packs, OME 2" HD springs. Huge improvement.Originally Posted by Synyster

"New Rampage H4 Headlight housings, New H4 wiring harness visiable through the grill (I still need to cover this with a black wiring loom). And I also installed a set of Hella Fog Lights.
The wiring harness really made a difference in the brightness of the new H4 bulbs."
I'm looking at installing a similar fog light assembly to my Cherokee, but I'm extremely new to this. How did you mount this to your front bumper? Did the lights come with everything that you would need to complete this?

I'm confused, are you talking about my headlight upgrade or the fog lights? The fog lights came with everything except the drill bit to drill through the bumper.Originally Posted by BarefootXJ

Your Jeep looks great. I just picked up a set of the TJ Moabs as well. Trying do decide what tire to run and the load range C Duratec's look like the answer. Did you have to run special lug nuts with the MOABS?
Awesome, they will look great on your jeep! I didn't have to use special lugs, just the stock ones. I highly recommend the duratracs, best tire I've ever owned!

How easy was installation on the HD leafpacks? Would u suggest the HD packs or medium load packs? I have a 20lb subwoofer in the truck along with the spare and a hitch on the back.
I got the HD springs because I go on a lot of backpacking trips with my buddies, and we tend to load the hell out of the jeep with our gear. So I wanted some more durable springs to handle the load on mountain roads and trails. I also use it for towing several times a year. If thats all you have in your trunk I wouldnt worry about running HD springs. It will be overkill! Just go with the mediums. As far as how easy they were to install, that depends on your skill level. I did it in an afternoon with a buddy's help. It was a little tricky getting the larger springs to line up with the holes on the frame. I used a 6 foot pry bar to apply pressure on them and lined up the holes. Also, I recommend drenching the bolts with pb blaster everyday for a week in advance, and if you have a impact gun that would be helpful too. If you have the money, throw on a pair of Monroe Magnum Shocks while you are at it. They really made the Jeep ride nice with the new springs.

Your Jeep must be rust free? haha
While I dont have bad rust, I have some surface stuff and all the leaf bolts were seized, it made it a PITA! I only PB blasted for like 2 days, I probably should have for a week or so...
As for the build, I like what your doing...and am super jealous of your Moabs...I have been trying to find some for a long time. NIce work

Burgy - Love the jeep. Yours is a great model to work off of. So thank you for that.
Are these the magnum shocks you used?
Probably not the right size, whatever, but are those the ones you used? thanks!

Thanks! These are the correct shocks, the front are 550016, and the rear should be 550017. Love them, I'm told there are the same shock as the Old Man Emu. Apparently, monroe builds them for OME and they are the same shock as the Magnum, but just have an OME stick on them. Good luck with your rig!Originally Posted by pnfrazer

Burgy, one more thing... i'm interested in the fuel injector upgrade that you made. I checked out the website and its kind of unclear as to which injectors I would get for the xj. Can you send over a hyperlink to the ones you got? Thanks!
