Right now I am finishing up the new track bar install and then reinstalling the front sway bar brackets to completely finish up the front. After that, I am having the entire roof cut off and replaced with my donor roof to 100% rid the jeep of rust. After that is done I will be putting the jeep officially up for sale. If anyone is interested or has friends that are interested please let me know. I've had this project for over 5 years so it'll be sad to see it go, but hopefully it will go to someone that will use it for its intended purposes!

Hey Ben. I was in an awful accident in April and hopefully, soon I'll receive my settlement and bein the market for a new jeep. Got a link to your sale page?

I got t boned at 55 mph and flipped. I broke my neck and my first rib on the right side. Thank God I'm even alive.

Hey there - Very terrible news about your accident, but at least you’re still here and recovering!

I dont have an actual for sale page at this time. I’ve been stalled on having the new roof installed. Jeep is definitely still for sale though. Let me send you a PM and we can chat. Thanks!

Stop threatening us saying you're going to sell it. You can't dump a ton of time and money into it then sell it! I'm pretty sure that's against forum rules. Why do you need a house anyway? You have a sweet overland rig with a RTT, shower, fridge, what else more do you need?

Don't sell it. Not worth it.

I honestly don't want to sell it at all because I've spent way more than I could ever sell it for. This was my first true build of anything and I learned along the way, which was also before I knew how to do most things myself. That being said it does need to go to a new person that will enjoy the outdoors with it. I just bought a house and need to slim down the stable.Once this jeep gets completed by its next owner, it will be one helluva offroad overland vehicle. I took my tacoma out yesterday to go fishing and ended up on some washed out fireroads that I knew my xj would crawl through. The tacoma had me a bit worried it would high center or whatnot. Definitely going to be a sad day to see it go but I'm hoping I could find a buy for it that wants to get into overlanding and can finish the remaining items it needs to be 100%!

Haven't done anything with the trailer yet, it's just sitting in my garage. I have drawn up some plans on what I will be doing to it but it might be a bit.

In about 2 weeks I'll be bringing the jeep inside the garage and pulling the interior apart and fixing all the rust the roof has. Then I plan to button up the interior finally and get some better pictures. I still need to build my rear storage system. After doing the front axle swap I also need to fix my pinion angles. I also noticed that there are some bushings that seem to have dry-rotted so I'll be replacing those too. I'll post some pictures in a few weeks :-)

No posting since Jan 2019??? It's been well over a year and I have seen NOTHING on this build! Did you ever replace the roof? Did you buy the new home? ........Here's the BIG QUESTION.....What did you do with the Jeep? Did you sell it or simply put all the add-ons for the Jeep on hold until the home was purchased?
You were spending AWAY there for a while and very curious if you held onto the Jeep by HAULTING the spending while you got the new home or did you LET IT GO!?!?!
I wanted to know what you did with it!?!?

Hey sorry I've been off the forum for a bit. I did end up selling the jeep to a nice young recent college grad that has some big plans with the XJ. I ended up selling it with the tent and we had the remaining work finished like the front locker and some other steering things. I believe he intends to drive it cross-country and do some adventuring with it. I did buy the house! lol thanks for asking. Even had a kid since then as well. The roof project was quite a thing. I took it to a few shops and most of them wouldn't touch it and the ones that would said it would cost more the jeep was worth to do all that welding and aligning parts properly for the windshield to stay seated. What I ended up doing was finding a shop that removed all rust, treated all the exposed metal, and then did high-strength fiberglass where the metal was removed. We didn't remove anything from any of the A or B pillars so no structural integrity was lost. It ended up working out great. I was sad to see it go but I only need 1 adventure rig and with the kid I needed something a bit newer. Here's the taco that you might have seen in some of my other photos. It's basically done now:
