Okie dokie. I'm about to go to lunch. I'll give you all the advice you'll ever want when i get back.

Tho, something to ponder.

Why should a mud truck be built with less quality than a Competition rock crawler?

I was curious about the year. I can't believe some other of your fellow CF member's sharp eyes didn't catch that.

Full hydro steering! There's no way the stock box will move those 40s or even 38s on nice loose gravel let alone mud. Your to do list should be: 5.38 gears, f/r lockers, full hydro, long armed 3 link front, plate the entire frame, & bead locks to start. There's nothing cheap about 40 inch tires!

ok Just trying to help... a D44 isnt gonna hold up well to 38.5s, unless your cromoing it outter to outter, & even then say bye bye to your R&P!

Are you planning on plating the hell outta your frame???

Ok, so now It's 38.5s on a 44.

Dana 44's use the same u-joints as a Dana 30. In that aspect it's not much of an upgrade.

I run a 44 on 35s. Even with the 35s I broke u-joints regularly. Now, I run chromo inners and outers with CTMs and a full case locker. I have yet to break that combo.

So, are you running coilovers or coils?
