Looks like you found a nice set of axles.

What did they come out of?

Were the metal tags still on the diff cover bolts when you pulled it apart?

If they were you can use those numbers to acquire a Bill of Materials. It will tell you what they came out of and what all are in them.

I'm not 100% familiar with the rear D60s so I'm not sure if that's a limited slip or a locker of some brand. I know it doesn't look like my Detroit.

Reguardless, for $250 bucks you got a deal. Especially if that's a locker rather than LSD.

Makes sure to gear those as low as you can. If you run 40's with a stock t-case I'd want to be in the 6.XX range of gearing. I'd suggest you at least look into swaping in a Dana300. It's be a much better choice for such a large tire and axle combo.

You're losing my faith. I was excited. I thought you were going to do it right.

So you're going to bolt stock Dana 60's under your Jeep, hook the drive shafts up, slap some tires on it and go play in the mud?

Wait... 96 XJ? What year is your Jeep again?

Also, did I just read that you intend to use the brackets off of the stock Dana 30 on this Dana 60?

Please, for the love of god, don't do that.

Dude, just because you're trying to save a buck doesn't mean you have to cut corners.

Welding Dana 30 brackets on a Dana 60 just don't cut it. You can make these from scrap 1/4" plate for nothing but time and about 20 bucks at the scrap yard.

Plus, if you're going to run coil overs it'd be retarded to run the stock brackets anyways. You don't need coil buckets. You need tabs on top of the tubes. That'd be EVEN easier!

*Sigh* You're going to do it your way anyways. At least take pictures so I can use them for an example next time I try to talk someone out of something stupid.
