I'm dropping mine off tomorrow and I'm thinking gunmetal grey might be the route I go. Not flashy, but not black. Just going to rattle can my whole thing because I'm cheap.

 

Can't go wrong with a rattle can paint job. easy touch up and cheap. That's what will happen if this thing gets scratched up. Rattle fix.

 

I just noticed it's a 60th anniversary edition. It's one of 2,379 made in that color. There were also 2,778 made in silver.

 

I wasn't aware of the numbers. That's cool to know. I wonder if anyone is going to get mad that it's being modified like it is.

 

I've got a 60th WJ which I've done minor mods to, but if someone comes to me and they're mad about it, I'm going to point them your way. Lol !

Well the EXO is finished at the powdercoater.
I am planning to pick it up Wednesday afternoon.

Painted the mounting points in front of the doors in preparation.





Didn't think to take pictures of the boxes under the "B" pillar upright. I'll take some and post them up.

 

Looking good. Cant wait to see it all done.

 

Was able to make my way over to pick up the EXO yesterday. It's shinier than the paint on the jeep. Whoops! HAHA

Very happy with how it turned out.

Meow I have to get all the exterior back together and get the interior ready for paint.

 

There's only one solution here. Powder coat the rest of the Jeep.

 

Or roll the Jeep and scratch it all up.

What did you use for your winch? And did you use Boostwerks mount?

 

There is a Warn 8000lb winch is behind the Boostwerks mount.

 

Had a very small window over the weekend to get a couple of things done on the cage assembly.

The fenders were cut in very well from my buddy, but unfortunately the fenders weren't hugging in far enough to meet the door, so I had to continue cutting a little further down.



Yesterday I had some time to cut the rubber gaskets for under the cage plates. The 1" bolts I purchased weren't long enough. I just ordered some 1 1/4. They'll arrive Wednesday. I should be able to mount the fenders and start putting everything back together on the exterior this week.

My buddy can't help me paint the interior cage until October 18th. That will give me lots of time to get the carpet cut, headliner cut and cage prepped. Should be able to start putting it back together as soon as the paint is finished drying.
