Fabric can be changed but you still have the wrong color mirrors.
I looked at the picture of his overhead and to be frank can't tell if it was Camel, Agate, or Mist Gray.
I painted my mirrors black to match the black fabric

Now there is an idea.
I picked this up awhile back to try something.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G6ILI24/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G6ILI24/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I want to put the Limited wood grain door panels in my Jeep. But the thing is with the Limited Camel interior the inset where the wood grain is the inset is Camel.
Which is different then the door panel in a Regular Camel interior XJ in which the inset is Agate. And I like the two tone. Cause the interior in my Jeep kind of follows a theme.
Agate higher up and Camel lower. My first idea was to remove the inset with the door latch and wood grain from an Agate interior XJ and transfer it to a Camel door panel.
The more I looked at it the more I was thinking I don't know if I could pull it off. So I was wondering how that paint would look if I used it.
Where I circled is where the wood grain would be.

Yeah my factory visors are gray and the new ones are camel/tan color.
So yeah since I have both of them, I have options.
I will be wrapping the headliner in suede, so I'll most likely wrap the visors, or have them wrapped if I don't think I can do a well enough job.

Thanks for all the input!

Well work on the cage is going pretty slow. I figured it would be slower than I thought, so not a huge deal.
I've been going on my Fridays off and helping work on the install. It's nice to be there to provide input on how I want things and to help/learn.
So far, I am really happy with the interior layout. I provided drawings on how I wanted everything and he is working with me and explaining any changes we have to make.
I'll be going again this Friday hoping he has the interior done and we can work on the exo part of the cage.
Here are a few photos of the progress.

When I first got my Jeep the dome light headliner was sagging. I toyed with doing it myself but the more I thought about it the more I was not confident I could do a good job.
Go through all that trouble, spend $60 in materials, and then have it start sagging again in a year. So I have a guy and with me taking the headliner out of the Jeep he charged me $125.
So when I got the set up for the overhead console install was lucky enough to get one out of a Camel Jeep. But everything was shot. And because I have commitment issues instead of
cutting my nice dome light headliner decided to have the overhead console one redone. Plus the overhead and visors. I think he charged me $225 for that.

Well I did some more research on doing the overhead and the visors. The visors are a clam shell set up. With clips in there that if you are not careful you can bust and then won't stay shut.
There are videos out there. Plus I took one apart cause I was curious. And busted some of the clips. LOL.

Also just so you know the overhead is in 4 separate pieces. Which taking it apart will let you get to the frame part which is the only part that has fabric on it.
Also I am pretty sure I saw a picture of where somebody removed the fabric and instead of recovering it just cleaned it up and ran it like that.
Looked pretty good in the picture.

Also when you have the overhead all apart that is when you will swap in the circuit board for the electric locks from you dome light Jeep.
Cause I am going to assume you have fobs and electric locks for your Jeep. But just the circuit board in the overhead with no fobs for that one.

Oh also cause I am a bit of a hoarder, who am I kidding I am a huge hoarder, I have an extra overhead console headliner. Thinking maybe I could figure out a way to give you
some measurements and reference points so you can cut the holes you will need in your dome light headliner. Which I am guessing you are going to do.
My first thought is since I have my dome light headliner is to place the overhead one over the dome one and post a bunch of shots showing a ruler.
Not like the holes have to be perfect. Just big enough to fit the overhead up there and not to big to be visible when the overhead is in place.
Let me know if you will need that. Hopefully it will give you the info you need to make the cuts.

Some shots for you.

Are those rears tied into something structural or just sitting on top of the fender? more pics.

Looks good!

The visors are the easiest part. You pop the clamshell open then wrap the fabric around it and then close it back

Oh man. Even just photos of that headliner would help. I've had the OHC sitting on the headliner since the jeep has been gone, looking at it wondering if I need to cut a slot for the rear of the ODC to slide in and where else it would need cutting. I'll be cutting the headliner all up anyway to get round the cage.

Yes sir Key fob circuit board will need to be moved.

The rears are sitting on the box that is sitting on the fenders. There will be diagonals coming from the top tied into to the back floor also.

Thanks!

Well here is a shot to give you idea.
Will try to find the room, I don't want to bring my good dome headliner outside and just lay it on the ground, inside to get you better shots when I get a chance.
This is after I got it all back from my guy.

The harness for the OHC got here yesterday. Very quick shipping! Much enjoy! But I still have to wait until the jeep gets home to modify. LOL

The plastic fairlead that I made was sagging. Maybe it didn't like the force being applied when winching, so I ordered a Warn.

My buddy finished my dash piece that surrounds the double din setup. Also have to wait for the jeep to get back before I can really enjoy it. Needs a couple more coats of paint though. After the first coat, it started raining.

Got some LED rock lights from Amazon Prime day. White only. They will have to wait to be installed though.

If I did not know bettter I would think that is factory.
That mod looks cut really clean.

Oh by the way just got home from work and going to see if I can get those shots for you of the overhead.

I had my doubts about this and thinking I am right.
Hoping you can follow it.
Hole at the top by the visors. It looks to be centered.
