I took it for a short ride and when I gave it a lot of gas the RPMs just dropped and it didn't run well after that, but it got me home (I wasn't far from home) and it was making a noise I can't easily describe.

Okay I took her for another test drive and this time i took it really easy and she drove pretty well. going uphill some rpms dipped some but I backed off gas and she kept running about same.
I have determined the metal noise is in fact the wheel, the plate that is by the rotor (I am guessing that is what it is) is bent and most likely scraping the rotor. Although that sucks, at least I have figured that out.
Oh and I also noticed that my oil pressure gauge was fluctuating up and down with the idle when stopped and in park
