I took it for a short ride and when I gave it a lot of gas the RPMs just dropped and it didn't run well after that, but it got me home (I wasn't far from home) and it was making a noise I can't easily describe.
Did you check the air filter? I've had that drop the rpms from being clogged.

Thats why I was hoping to get someone to help me check out what its doing so when I post on here I have a better and possibly more accurate description of whats going on. The good news is even though I don't really have money to buy a bunch of parts I have 2 other Jeeps I can pull parts from to see if that fixes, Just takes more time.

Okay I took her for another test drive and this time i took it really easy and she drove pretty well. going uphill some rpms dipped some but I backed off gas and she kept running about same.

I have determined the metal noise is in fact the wheel, the plate that is by the rotor (I am guessing that is what it is) is bent and most likely scraping the rotor. Although that sucks, at least I have figured that out.

Oh and I also noticed that my oil pressure gauge was fluctuating up and down with the idle when stopped and in park

Thats a dust plate and the oil thing is normal.

Thanks. wasn't sure if oil pressure was supposed to do that. I am one of those ppl who doesn't pay attention to my vehicles until somethings wrong so I don't always know what it always does or what just started.
