Shouldn't be tooo bad, Im just trying to figure out who made these sliders. They are heavy as hell, welds are beautiful and they are powdercoated.\

Not bad for 60 bucks.

It looks like most people just use self-tapping bolts, does that sound like a bad idea to anyone else?

Not sure but I look at it like this u have a bolt that goes through the hole unibody as to self tapping bolts only going halfway through

Sounds like a bad idea to me, I'd use a grade 8 bolt like most sliders come with

Hmm, not the ones I've seen. Not sure that I'd trust it but if you can find out what size and grade they use then sure why not.
