Ok I need some help.
I replaced the rear main seal again on the Jeep and even did the oil pan gasket and yet oil is still leaking out bad. What else could be the problem?
No I did not tear the upper half of the rear main seal

Probably just didn't seat it all the way. Or when you put the pan back in the rear main shifted slightly. It's a PITA if the front axle isn't dropped far enough down to get the pan and seal lined up properly, especially if you're by yourself doing it.Originally Posted by 94cherokeeman

Well I'm gonna try it again for the 3rd time. If I can't get it done this time I'm don't gonna do it again it will just be a lawn ornamentOriginally Posted by no rdplz

Ever get that sorted out? I just did mine last weekend. Stupid pan gasket goes on better when you attach it to the block first.Originally Posted by 94cherokeeman

I've seen a green XJ, black wheels, roof rack with lights attached to it (yellow covers) drive past my house a couple times when I've been out working on mine (Manassas). I haven't had a chance to wave since I've been under it both times, but if you are on here ...nice setup!

George Washington National Forest? Beautiful place. Some of it is designated Wilderness Area (St. Mary's Wilderness), this means foot-travel and horses only. Even bicycles are not allowed.Originally Posted by Desertfox1023

But there is an awsome Jeep trail, Big Levels.

Hey guys, just move up to Stafford from East TN.. Made a post in the Mid Atlantic introduction thread. How's the jeep community around the Stafford / Woodbridge /Fredericksburg area? It was pretty big back home.
