Is there a consensus good or bad on the jasper rebuilt engines?

Jaspers are usually pretty good. Just be sure there's paperwork to go along with it.

Going to stop on my way home and look at a 96
With 21k on a jasper motor. From the pics he sent me it looks
Pretty clean

He wants 1800, that would leave me a nice budget to give it a
Going over and maybe a couple upgrades

Anything wrong with 96s?

There's not really much legal around here unless you know someobody with land. Starr motors sometimes has events at their small offroad park out back of their property.

only other thing near us that's public land is Corolla Beach. It's about a 2.5 hour drive with good traffic flow. Otherwise it's GWNF which has a lot to be honest.

Well, I am in the club. Brought home a 98 Limited with 137k on the clock. Overall looks to be in good shape, inspected till 4/13, body is in nice shape even though it has kind of a cheap paint job. Interior was pretty good except for the drivers seat. The leather was ripped up pretty bad, but I got him to drop the price another $200 so that paid for seat covers and some other odds and ends.

New 30x9.5 tires on it, are these too big for stock suspension? I was looking to put on a small lift but didn't want to do it quite yet.

Anyway, very happy with my purchase and hope to take it up the National Forest this weekend just to ride around some Forest Service Roads.
