There is Starr Motors in Suffolk. Other wheeling areas are 2-5 hours NorthWest near and on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Beaches and dunes and forest trails are South, 2.5 hours, here https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f42/ti...4/#post2817779

Im thinking on trying pep boys next....

Firestone was good to me when I went last. Maybe it was because I bought tires. There is a thread on here concerning adjustable ball joints a few said they wear out faster than normal ball joints. Thread also stated that they are only really needed if your axle is bent...

You can do it yourself, then go to any alignment shop for a 'printout' to check your numbers and make adjustments back at home.
If you have adjustable control arms, this is how the Caster is set. If you have fixed control arms, Caster is set by the stock method, using shims behind the lower control arms. The arms are positioned by a secondary bracket inside the main bracket.
Toe is set after the caster is set. The angle of the front driveline must also be factored into the alignment and takes priority over Caster.
Adjustable ball joints are not required or necessary! These are to correct a bent axle which would cause the Camber to be out of spec.
If your rig is lifted and you want someone else to dial it in, go to a 4x4 shop.
There should be a few in the area. Pungo offroad is a good one, they work on real rigs and are familiar with jeeps.
Some 4x4 shops cater to lifted street trucks and fancy trinkets, avoid that type of shop.
Pungo Offroad does not do alignments. They send them over to Eastern Truck Accessories to be done. Starr Motors in Suffolk is the only place I take mine to get any work I can't do myself done. Talk to Joe Bonney there and he'll make sure it's done to your lift specs, not a computer sheet.
Hey everyone. Checking back in after a long time.
I still haven't picked up an XJ but it shouldn't be too much longer. Life happens and takes us in different directions but now that I'm back on track I am restarting my search.
Looks like I have a lot to read since I was here last.
