I still haven't picked up an XJ but it shouldn't be too much longer. Life happens and takes us in different directions but now that I'm back on track I am restarting my search.
Looks like I have a lot to read since I was here last.
Interested in one that is built? Daily driver, no issues, maintained, ready to go across the country. 31" tires, 4.5" lift, Rock Crawler + BDS brands.
Damn there is a lot of Cherokee's here in Hampton area. Well Add 1 more from Chesapeake ( Great Bridge). Heck add 3 XJs and a 87 MJ for that matter.
Hopefully I get the Engine put in the 99 by this weekend.
Tired of messing with this one. I want to finish it up.
So I can start on converting the MJ to a 4.0 and a 4x4.
Green 96 on the road now. Blue 99 here soon. And the blue long bed MJ still running. The 98? Who knows. Might need a valve job or the head rebuilt. Maybe it will become a donor. Unless someone wants a decent project for around 850 or so.
Keep em running, Striper season open soon be at the point in OBX for the opening...

a place to wheel around here? good one, all the spots are now infested with cops, it's now a russian roulette game game weather ya can go wheelin without gettin busted. The closest place to legally wheel in starr motors in suffolk or corolla beach in NC, i know a legalish place but the jeeps gotta have stock non-loud exhaust
Wheeling anyone? Beaches, maritime forest trails, and Carova beach trails (video).
My wife and boy are going to Canada for 10 days on the 17th. Have a spare room if anyone is interested in going wheeling, located on Hatteras Island.
I will also do a day trip to Carova trails and into Virginia's False Cape State Park.
Carova is great to go to in winter, cold and windy is the best conditions for the most fun. During the tourist season, a lot of it is off limits.
