Shoe Creek Trail Run....
Hello all! Some friends and I are planning on running the Shoe Creek Trail System on Dec. the 19th. That's next Sun. It will be around 4-5 in our group. All used to the trail and area.
I have personally ran this system more times than I can remember and know the trail well. Its a stock friendly trail and if your built, you'll have fun as well! Its a few obstacles that may be a little more of a challenge to some but I drive my DD stock 01 XJ through it all the time. If spotting or help is needed you'll be taken care of. Its NOT a beat you to death trail.
The trail system is located in Nelson County. A beautiful trail to ride through and just be out on if you want to just get off the road for a bit. Nice waterfalls, overlooks, rock formations as well. If you're wanting to hammer on it, its rocks there for you to!
We are planning on heading up from Lynchburg around 9:00am. We usually get off the trail around 4-5:00pm depending. If you want directions or want to meet us somewhere to join in the convoy let me know. Depending on where you are there are plenty of meeting spots. That wont be a problem. If you are used to the area and want to meet our group on the trail, let me know.
Feel free to pm or post any question you may have about joining us. I know we would love to meet new people out of the area to wheel with!
See ya on the trails!

Hell yeah man, I'm looking forward to this trip! Be good to get a little more seat time! Would be cool to see someone go up/attempt Slick Rock.

I can't make the run but it is a VERY nice trail for stockers, mild lifts, and anyone just wanting to have some fun. I've yet to actually see someone get up slick rock in person. It's a pretty challenging obstacle. If you want some pics, check out my album.

Trail is 100% open to the public. I don't have any pics handy right now, but if you go on YouTube and search for Shoe Creek, I'm sure you'll find a ton of vids. I'd post some links...but YouTube is blocked here @ work.

The last time I was there I saw two people make it up one with a heavily modded tj and another guy with a cummins dodge. I got all of my wheels on the rock but started getting too close having my door slide into a rock so i gave up.

Seems to look that way huh?
There are a few other guys who may ride out with our group, I guess depending on the weather. If there isn't enough people to make a worthwhile run I may just end up working on the Sami.
You said you'd be camping right? Where at up there?

Just watched it. VERY nice job! Every time I've tried getting up it my driver's rear just doesn't want to get up on that rock. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. One day I'll conquer that thing.
