how about a trip where you found the part you wanted and got most of the way thought taking it off the donor, only to find you didn't have a certain size wrench to finish the job.

Then you came back the next day and the truck was gone.

Yea...

Can anyone tell my why my transfer case sometimes won't disengage from 4h to 2wd? It all started one night I threw it in 4h going up my buddies icy driveway and my rpms were still kinda up from spinning.

mines like that, you just have to go into reverse and back into drive sometimes and it disengages, you should hear a click when it does

Mine sometimes does that coming out of 4x4 Full Time (I have an NP242), the reverse trick works. But I thought it might be worth mentioning that you should not shift in or out of 4wd while applying torque. Let off the gas, then shift.

Its just annoying doing the reverse trick. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Its been cold out and haven't really had the time to look at it
