Any visual inspection points I can? I heard about checking in the oil filler hole with a flashlight.

I'm just hoping it's cracked hose or something. I could flip the jeep and sell it if it's that easy lol

 

my jeep used to over heat all the time, found out it was a small crack in my rad, fixed that then it was happening again, fixed with new cap, then it happened again, fixed with new water pump gasket, so it could be alot of easy things or worse head problems like youve been saying

 

Yeah it's a 2001 so I won't be too surprised if it's got a cracked 0331 head. Lol.

 

im surprised that my '00 0331 head hasnt gone yet, even though it seeps oil out the low pressure side of the head gasket, who knows maybe it is cracked hahaha

 

Too bad it's couple of towns over and I'm too broke to pay for towing lol

It's in Clifton heights. About 30 minutes away

 

You could flat tow it or tell him to deliver. Their could be a whole mess of things it could be. Could be head gasket, water pump, t-stat, rad problems, or just low on coolant. Cant just assume the head not always the case.

 

About 90 minutes from me. Too far for an easy grab.

 

He said he isn't in a rush to get rid of it. I guess I can wait until I have the dough to have it picked up and the title/registration, etc.

Funny how he live in same town as I but the jeep is over there lol.

 

How much in stuff it ll cost to "replace the head gasket". Head gasket, sealant, etc etc

 

Head gasket head bolts and check to make sure head is strait and coolant. Its a cast iron head so i doubt its not strait any more unless he really heated it up
