I only have a dozen or so other things going on at the same time. Not too mention a few unexpected turn of events Plus waiting on some ebay items to come in. Magnetic base dial indicator. A cheap digital micrometer. Researching a way to take the bearings off the carrier. This job sucks i am def out of my comfort zone.

There's nothing to it.
Granted, getting the carrier bearings off can be a *****. I've broken my share of tools and rigged my share of contraptions to get those off.
I usually resort to cutting them off or buying a new carrier. (When gearing I usually need a different one anyways.)
You DO have the right carrier, don't you?
