Granted, getting the carrier bearings off can be a *****. I've broken my share of tools and rigged my share of contraptions to get those off.

I usually resort to cutting them off or buying a new carrier. (When gearing I usually need a different one anyways.)

You DO have the right carrier, don't you?
Boy my pcs slow tonight

Gotcha.

Here's my carrier bearing puller set-up that I used last time. It's about 3 different puller sets all rigged together. It only slipped off about 20 times before it pulled it. Took lots of heat too.

This is what you have to resort to if you don't have a shop press. THIS is why I use set-up bearings.
