Hey guys, I'm from Atlanta but go to school at Alabama in Ttown. I've had my XJ for a couple of years now and she's made it through all sorts of problems and mudpits.
1998 w/180,000 miles
4.5" Rusty's Suspension
33" BFG KM2's
and a whole bunch of other crap I bolted on it in the last year or two, it's been a great project car to work on with my dad.

I'm always looking to wheel in Alabama, especially in the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa area. Hit me up!

quote at rcor for gears and install was 1300 for a few guys over on JF. What gears are you going to? these 3.55's are awful.

I know about rocket city, and I know all about their high prices. I am going with at least 4.56 gears but still thinking about 4.88 gears. When I had my mustang, I went with 3.73 gears and wish I would have gone steeper.
Yeah, I was originally going to decide on 4.56's but everyone online said go one size steeper and that they all regretted going 4.56's. Fine for driving, still not enough for wheeling.

That's the reason I am leaning toward 4.88. Only couple of hundred more RPM's at highway speed. Would make going back up Brindlee Mtn everyday from work easier LOL

I have 33x12.50s and I have 4.56s. I love the way it performs while Wheelin, I don't like 12.5 MPG though!
i'm currently getting about 38 mpg.
oh wait, the jeep. yeah I figure its in the 10-15 range. This gearing is terrible. I could still get 18-20 highway when I had 33's on my tacoma. But then again, i couldn't wheel the taco like I can the jeep.
