yeah finger crossed im going to spend a little more than i want to but might become a dd over the sumer since my car doesnt have A/C!!!

Well it looks like the ole girl needs the rod bearings replaced and possibly the main bearings (might as well while Im in there). Have any of you local boys done this before without pulling the engine? From everything I've seen you can, but my only concern is accessing the top side rod bearings. This is be my first, so if any of you have any input before I dig into this thing this weekend Id love to hear it.

I was in auburn until about 2 years ago. I had a blue tacoma when I was there. I'm up in hsv/madison now.

Oh I gotcha. You're up in the good wheeling area now! I do a pretty good amount of wheeling in the West TN area with a group called Scenic City 4x4, so you'll have to come wheel with us next ride.
