I've have no problems running doorless, as long as you have a rearview mirror you should be fine. Just Look Out for rocks and debris hitting your elbow on the Highway! Haha

You can just buy my XJ, removable door mod is done, so you don't have to worry about it.

Got a question for you guys. How are you protecting the grease zerk on your rear driveshaft? I knocked mine off on my stock shaft (ovaled out the hole) and it looks like I smacked it on my Tom Woods (still usable). Got any suggestions before I ended up with another junk shaft?

I go to LOWES and get the grade 8 Allen head plugs. Grease the driveshaft generously then take the zerk off and plug it with the Lowes hardware. Just blast it out with some break parts cleaner when you do grease them next.

That's all I can think about doing. Do you know what the thread pattern is? I have a mass of MS hardware at work.

New to forum, received 98 jeep Cherokee sport last Sunday as b'day gift from dad! Looking forward to learning how to work on it, and already liking how everything looks easy to get to. If I can ask a question, my cruise control and reverse lights aren't working 95% of the time, but when one works the other does too. Any ideas or suggestions on how to fix? I live in Leeds, AL and want to ride out at markeeta, anyone else ride markeeta?

Welcome to CF!

Does your jeep ever not want to start in park?
The reverse lights could be a wiring issue or your Neutral Safety Switch needs to be cleaned.

Cruise control could also be a few things from clock spring in your steering column or a vacuum leak.

I live in Carrollton, Ga- about an hour or so from you but i love going to the BPS in Leeds.

Thanks for the ideas, will check out some of those things today. I actually work with clients and their dogs up at bps regularly, and I enjoy it too. I want to ask you if you could describe where on trans is the nss? I thought I was tinkering with it a few days ago, but realized through Chilton manual it was the speed sensor. Could not find nss location in Chilton manual.

Passenger side front right after the bellhousing. It's a little black box with a harness running up the the firewall
