Curious as to why the long arm kit?

From everything I have read it's a better ride instead of short arms. I never intend on doing rock gardens or anything like that. The route I'm going is expedition style. I'm open to advice just everything I had read here and the other forums was that LA are better for what I plan on doing. Also looking into doing some jeep jamborees this year or next with it.

Can't remember if I said anything or not, but I may have a lead on some property outside of Marietta. A guy has about 165 acres or so. Needing to do some wheeling here soon. Itching to get back on a trail.

In most cases its my opinion they are a waste of money. Especially for an expedition style rig. Also they are difficult to make work right. At least everyone I have ridden in rides terrible. So I blame that on set up rather than the long arm itself.

If you are lifting your jeep much over 3" then they are to be considered. But I feel that lca drop brackets do a good job also.

Just dont' want you to be unhappy with the results. So make certain its what you want.

I haven't ridden in an XJ with LA's so my knowledge is only based on what I have read. I have heard great things about the Clayton LA's but also great things about the currie SA's w/ drop brackets, but that's with replacing both lower and upper arms. With the SA's I will have more options for belly skids. Just need to decide between 33's or 35's, the notch customs Xmax flares will give me plenty of room for 35's.

Put they are so slick. I love the look of the "stockish" flares and they give you so much room to stuff the tires.
