Where would I post this? In the build section? I have the weld on mount kit, and all the brake parts. I need a front XJ drive shaft. Do I need to get a SYE or a hack and tap. Do I have to do that?

That sucks. You need a new one or just have it milled. Hell it might be cheaper to just get one from a jy.

build section would be good, but here is good to so we can see your progress! You definitely need a slip yoke eliminator or a hack n tap, if money is tight, i would do the hack n tap, with a sye you sometimes get a stronger shaft though, so it's your call (i put a hack n tap in mine). depending on your lift and where everything sits, you may need to get your driveshaft re-lengthened.

let me know if you need any help on anything!

depends what the rear output of your t-case looks like. if you have a fully sealed output shaft (slip yoke doesn't slip into the t-case) you just need is the yoke kit

http://ironrockoffroad.com/Merchant2...egory_Code=XDT

if your slip yoke moves in & out of the t-case (when you take it off, fluid comes out) you need the above kit and a seal flange

http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch...Code=IR-XHNTSF

my thoughts though (looking back after having done this), I wonder if you can just hack off some of the output shaft, then hack off some of the slip yoke to shorten the length, drill a hole in the output shaft & yoke, tap the hole in the shaft and be done with it...... then you only spend money on grinding discs and a drill & tap with matching bolts...? $20 vs $100..?

first page of my build has me doing a fixed yoke h&t

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/pr...enstein-44359/

then here is after i broke my t-case and replaced it with an internal slip yoke type and had to h&t and add the flange
