no it's the same as a spool, it will have no release or give when making turns or anything. it will fully be engaged at all times.

I wish I could go, but work as always... I would also love to get out and do some ****, but rather feel like building something, Derek do you have your tube bender back yet? I want to build a cage... and tire carrier... Also a 3 link front... or help/supervise someone build something, anyone building something cool?

3/4 link is the way to go. Look at Cory's (X1994J) build, he has a long arm type rear setup. Clayton makes a kit as well.
