I hate these price swings!! It's obviously directly linked to fuel prices...when I bought the steel for my bumpers, it was horrible! $150.00 for a 12' stick of 2x5x3/16.....I felt assraped!! LOL!!

I can't complain too much about the price. It cost about 130 for materials for his front and rear bumpers. 1 3/4 .120 wall tube is a little cheaper than what you were buyin!

Bender showed up this morning! Starting bumpers at 4pm. I'm sitting at work and its taking forever! I'm like a little kid with a new toy!....oh wait, I am!

Like I said before...work always gets in the way of fun!

Im sure the bender will work fine. The operator needs to work good, straight out of the box! Using different benders takes a second to get used to.
Will post up some pics of how tonight goes soon.

sooooo, my bender worked flawlessly out of the box! didnt start bending tube until about 9pm, but have most of the front bumper completed.

i found some new info on bending tube, and applied the new motheds i found last night. all i can say is, wow! my bends came out exactly where i wanted them to, the first time! these new methods are not by any means a time saver, but they will save a lot of money in wasted tube.

forgot my stupid camera at home. i will be back at the shop on saturday to finish up......oh yeah, didnt get home til about 1230am and woke up for work at 430am! im tired.......

just went and picked up a bunch more tube for my cage and bumpers.

anyone want tube bumpers built?

scrapped 3 cat converters and 700 lbs of steel today. that paid for my tubing, plus i still have cash in my pocket!!!! i still have another 2k lbs in my scrap pile.

the sliders i build are like mine if you remember what they look like. $275 for a set, welded to your jeep. (you paint em) i can make them bolt on, but ur doing it yourself!!

i can do custom for more $....and im not against this, just takes more time to build things differently.

here are some pics. not very good ones, but you get the idea.

i dont really build light bars. i could, but there is really no money to be made on them with the price of steel right now.

That's a pretty good price and yes welded on. Bolt on is a big pain in the rear. It will be a couple of months til will be ready for them and will shoot you a pm when the time comes
