Most 4 and 5 speed manual transmissions have 1:1 4th. Specifically this is true of the 3 5 speed manual transmissions used in XJs.

mr white and i figuring out ball park area what the rpm will be with 4.10s, 235/75s with an ax15 tranny.

good links. just curious on the speedo. if my stock 28s say I'm going 60, with my 31s, i'm actually going 66? difference of about 10%.

so if my average mpg is 16, i'm actually getting 17.6? please tell me that's right lol.

New to forum here, so if this question has already been addressed, I apologize. I'm looking for a 4.7 stroked shot block. Do you guys know of anyone/company the sells them?

Going to assume Boulder by the username. Just get a 4.0 short block and find yourself a 4.2L rotating assembly for the basic foundations to build a stroker

If he has the money to be looking at companies that sell strokers $$$$...then he should just skip the stroker and get a v-8 .

If you calculate your mpg based on a 10% low speedo reeding, then yes, your actual mpg should be 10% higher.

When I went from stock to 31's mine calculates to 12.5% difference in mileage...................at least according to my GPS.
This was rechecked a week ago at 100 miles on the XJ odometer, my GPS said I went 112.5 miles.................I may not have calculated the percentage correctly, but that was my readings.

I actually got around 20mpg on my trip to Durango, so I was pleased.

Where can I get a good deal on a set of Bilstein 5100s for my XJ? If Seth can get me a good deal I may have to make a pilgrimage to 4WP lol
