It may be a late shout out ,But Danny and a few other rigs and myself are running Chinamans Today (sunday) around 0830-0900 ...Not my first choice at that crossroads in BV .

 

I need a steering gearbox for my 98 Xj, Are there any upgraded ones or anything people recommend ?? Also has anyone done one and are they easy??

Welp ended up being the only one in the group to not be able to run , and Danny ran carnage ...I'm completely pissed off B/C the entire cause for my missed chance to run carnage was having my Dodge suddenly lose all transmission gears ...the f-ing cause ...the spin on filter in the kit i got at O'rilleys fell apart ,as the threaded assembly on the spin on filter just popped off leaving my converter empty and the filter rolling around in the pan...I compared the filter with the wix and the threaded part on the two are made different the one that fell apart is p.o.s. that could come loose at anytime ...anywho cheap Chineese parts strike again ...lol...i was not towing the Jeep ,but need the truck to get to work tomorrow ,so it came first , and i almost made it in time to hit the trail...lol...buit i left my keys at o'rilleys and since i was not driving i did not notice until they called , and no way am going to make conifer from bailey in sunday traffic to get up to bv in time to be on the trail...If only i had remembered to grab the filter kit at the dealer last week on my way home instead of forgetting and stopping at the autoparts store where quality is a grab bag .

 

No not yet! That sidewall plug (well the 2 in there) and all that rubber cement has held up haha

Anywho...we are running chinaman's tomorrow 0900-0930 , anyone who is wanting to run chinakee and I will be running ...If we get folks wanting to run Carnage that is an option if any rigs are Carnage capable .

 

I've been gone for a while as I sold my last XJ to play with some other toys. I couldnt take it anymore so I picked up another . Im making a run to Lefthand on Sunday because it is close and its my first time out in this one. If anyone is gonna be up there or wants to go, let me know.
