yep... one of the things I remember from the last time I lived in AZ prior to this time (obviously lol)...
It's nice being able to register pretty much any vehicle here and 2 full years of tags costs me less than 1 year in the state I lived in before. It just goes to show what a rip-off the other states can be.

Ca is one of the worst. They have turned vehicle registration into a primary tax revenue source of it's own. Registration and fuel taxes are pretty much their main source of tax income even over sales tax. Many people can't even afford to have a car so that they can drive to work and be productive because of it which in turn harms the economy overall. It's backwards, irrational and unproductive. No common sense at all...

Lol.. the sad truth. And maybe it's just me.. but I don't think that the state of CA and the phrase "common sense " can legally be uttered together. Lol

I don't know what they are going to do, but it's completely unsustainable. Apparently splitting up the state will be on the ballot from what I understand. The pockets of irrationality will no longer rule the demographics as a whole both in Ca or nationally, they will be stuck stewing in their own little bubble of failed policies all alone. And this will also greatly help the national elections, Ca will no longer have such a huge influence over national outcomes.

On another note my friend, Do you connect with Hexchat or freenode? Trying to find someone else from the states to chat with in there. They are all across the pond and have no clue about what is really happening over here. Their concepts on issues are skewed because everything is backwards there as it is in Ca and of course our media has them even more confused about the truth. lol

Just curious... Be cool to connect with you in there once in awhile my friend.

I grew up in CA and lived there until 2003. Honestly it was so widely known that the CA vote goes to Democraps that many of us, me included, didn't even vote. "Why bother" was the mentality. So I get it when I see them wanting to split into different states. You have a bunch of liberals in LA, in northern CA and in a few other spots, but much of CA is normal people. And YES, I just said liberals are not normal because it is true. The sad part is too many CA libtards are moving to AZ. Ugh.

I am one that can remain objective and have a civilised conversation on the topic, but let's face it... we all know that the vast majority can't. They're usually fine for the first few minutes..but then when someone on the other side makes a valid point that they don't like...then boom.. off come the gloves and it gets nasty. lol.

Just curious... Be cool to connect with you in there once in awhile my friend.
hey there my friend... I don't use those... but I'd be willing to check it out sometime
I don't think we'll see the day that CA doesn't have their influence.... all that evil money and in control..... you have those that would literally sell their own mother if they thought they could make a buck. It's a sad situation in this world... very sad... but that's just my opinion... Don't want to go into my views on here... as many can't control their own viewpoints and remain having a decent discussion without it turning into a royal poop storm.

Where/how do you guys mount your CB antennas?

I’m inclined to get a 102” whip and mount it in the middle/front of the roof. My reasoning is that top of the roof should give the best reception/range and being high up would keep it from smacking things (around the vehicle... obviously low clearance areas would be an issue but that’s not a concern in open desert). I only need the CB “working” when I’m out wheeling, so I’ll take it off (unscrew it) in/around town.

That would be cool! I will PM you about it. Be cool to find a few other Cherokee linux folks and start our own channel on one of those services! I always had fun in a fast paced old school BBS style environment. Now if the skin color could be changed to "green screen" it would be retro just like the old days. lol

Yes I understand about getting started too much about the reality of political demographics. But know what? Still nothing more satisfying than knowing you are on the honest and righteous side.

Speaking of Linux... Just went through my first no boot fsck manual Q&A session because of a hard shutdown. How the heck can this issue be fixed so that this doesn't happen even if it's a hard shutdown?

Yeah I'm one that does my research so I'm not just shooting my mouth off. Which can scare some people... Do I think either side is perfect? heck no...but most people are scared to have a conversation on the topic with someone that knows what they're talking about. lol... Kinda how people like mr. Gore run from people like me. lmao.
