Default 4C weather ready jeeps

i found a forum like this in cherokee chat, but i felt like having one for 4corners weather would be good for people who dont know it too well. basically just post what sort of items you carry in your jeep when you go wheeling through out the year. cold winter, wet spring, ect.

i have a lot of crap that i probably dont need, and i carry all my gear all year, so...

in the back...
  • Three drawer tool box with
    • full set of sae and metric standard and deep sockets.
    • full set of sae and metric combo wrenches
    • pliers
    • crescents
    • wire cutters
    • hammers
    • DUCT TAPE
    • screw drivers (all sizes)
    • digital multi meter
    • and other random little tools
  • recovery box
    • tow straps
    • tow chain
    • axe
    • shovel
    • assorted bungees
    • cat litter
    • 8X10ft tarp
    • squeegee (for the mud)
    • steel toe boots
    • gloves
      • leather work
      • mechanics
      • old snow gloves
    • warning tape
    • jumper cables
    • and cover-alls
  • camp kitchen
    • small 2 burner stove
    • cooking utensils
      • pots and pans ect.
    • eating utensils
      • plates, bowls, cups, mugs, silverware, ect.
    • dry foods
      • ramen, pb, crackers, ect.
  • cooler (not filled unless camping)
    • anything i want to eat
  • and scattered around in the back where there is still room
    • 48in high lift jack
    • 2- 3X2ft carpets
    • 2 man tent
    • -20* sleeping bag
    • 5 gal water container
under rear seat...
  • Survival kit
    • first aid kit
    • water filter
    • fire starter
      • lighter
      • matches
      • flint & steel
      • 9 volt battery
    • hunting knife
    • extra cell phone battery
up front in glove box and center console...
  • 40 channel cb radio
  • 6 in buck knife
  • flash light
  • toilet paper
  • extra fuses
i think thats about it. all of this is in my jeep all the time. (mostly because im to lazy to move it, but i also use most it fairly regularly)

I'd love to be as seemingly prepared as you, but it seems like an unnecessary amount of weight to be lugging around constantly... Is this all day every day? Or just when you go wheeling / camping?

i always have the tool box and lift in the back, survival/first aid under seat, and all the flashlights and such up front. but i only load up the extra stuff when wheeling or camping. i used to carry it but it started to get in the way really fast.

I keep most of my "stuff" in a military backpack. that way it is all together, and it is all in one big bag. go to your local military surplus store.

i keep all of my light weight backpacking gear in my nice backpacking backpack for when i want to go backpacking. all of my car camping gear i keep in my nice little camp kitchen box in my garage, then put in my jeep for car camping.

it just gives me a better stove and nicer pots and such for when i can use them.

I always travel with a small toolbox(basic tools), 2 person tent, chain, 2 gallon water jug, extra gas, first aid kit, and 6 MRE's, extra hub assembly, jumper cables, rope, flashlight, and camp shovel. Basic but it works, I have been stuck in the desert a few times. I carry a fire extinguisher ALWAYS, since my friends Jeep burnt down. My brakes caught on fire recently being towed to the highway. If you dont have one, GET ONE. Keep it next to your seat, not only for external fires, but if your in an accident, it could save your life. Unless you dont like your Jeep
