They've taken forever to ship all of my stuff in the past too...

Just ordered HD Engineering No lift shackle relocation brackets and Rusty's .75" shackle. i'll probably need a SYE after doing that.

Yeah, I never got anything quick from them.

In other news the new steering has crazy Death Wobble! I wasn't involve in final assembly but I'll finally have some time to check it over and figure it out. Then its time to wheel this pig.

How did everyone's rigs do with the first really hot day?

Mine ran at 215+. CEL started blinking at me today. Which means there was a very bad misfire.

Wife agreed that we buy a car within 1 month before it get stupid hot.

My gauge was just a tick over 210* but the Bluetooth app stated it was at 221* then fans kicked on and lowered it to 215*. Parked at lights it raised and then lowered back down to normal temps.

What is the normal operating temp? Was mine normal?

I ordered my crap like 3 weeks ago. I want to get it in so I can finally get rid of my stock parts. Idk it's just a little ridiculous for this much time to have passed.

Removed my mechanical fan yesterday and installed an extra OEM fan I had in its place and just made my own relay harness to a switch so it's on at all times... then today I decided to wire up the aux fan to the same switch, never got above 210 on my way home.
Gonna try it out for a couple weeks and decide if I want to order the dirtbound kit or not. It gets really old having to stop on the trail to cool down.

I would put an interrupt switch for your fan, you might want to shut it off on long highway drives. The fan can actually reduce airflow at highway speed if left running.

Found my steering box is the leading cause of death wobble on my XJ. I'm going to fiddle with the gear adjustment to tighten it up some. Also disabled the ABS now that I have a small chunk of the tone ring missing on one of my front shafts which would have to be done anyway when I swap to the 8.25 I have.
