Opened up my Christmas presents lol. Jcr bumper arrived yesterday and the girlfriend grabbed me a hi lift and ordered me some HID's from FST whose a vendor on this forum...stoked!!

Is it a manual trans? I have an 8.25 with 3.07 gears. Be careful with that 35 on the heavy trails. They have a history of blowing up. I was fine with 31s.

Can anyone answer. I am installing a severe duty head gasket from felpro. Do I need RTV as well or is that just a over kill?

Most head gaskets will say whether to install lubed or dry and I think most are supposed to be dry.

This is from a felpro torque specs guide

"Sealers are NOT required on FEL-PRO PermaTorque®head gaskets .
However, embossed steel shim, copper-faced, or steel-faced gaskets should be coated with a non-hardening automotive gasket sealer as a supplemental seal
.
Lightly coat bolt threads and the underside of the bolt heads with EP grease or similar
lubricant

When they enter the water jackets of an engine, bolt threads should be coated with
a non-hardening automotive sealer to prevent leakage
.
