My son bought a 1990 XJ 4.0l and it has a bad exhaust manifold. He is looking online at stock manifolds and looking at getting a header that fits a 1991 and up HO. Any thoughts or ideas and idea on where to get one?

There are two types of exhaust manifolds for jeeps. Ones that are broke and ones that have yet to break. Look into aftermarket. They're also designed to improve flow and they are usually better quality. Look online. Start with other forums to see what others have used. That's next on my todo list. As for wheels, do you have a lift on it yet or is it stock? I also have a 90 Cherokee. First thing I did was suspension after I got it running.

The ATP from Amazon is what he is going to buy but today he welded up the stock one so he can get it on the road. It is stock now but he is working on doing a 3-4" lift and has the rear fenders cut so far. So for now probably 235's or 31's until he gets the lift done.
The XJ had been sitting for a few years before he bought it last week and he has it running but had the bad manifold and the tires are all rotted off so he is working on it as he gets money. He is also looking for a lift kit.
