I was going to wait till this weekend and invite you guys over for beer and the install but... I got excited and just installed them lol

first things first I went straight to cutting the frame, no reason to wait around for the weld nut to break I was going to nip it in the butt by getting my torch on that nut. good thing I did because both my weld nut cavities were packed full of sand and dirt this all fell out of my passenger one minus the leaf spring eye obviously

This pic is after install and the nut and bolt were all anti seized up

I pulled out the second to bottom leaf out of my packs. The shorter thicker leafs are mainly for supporting weight and I dont really care about that all I wanted was controlled axle wrap with a soft spring that flexed well, this pack had 6 leafs with 4 of them being almost full length so ditching the short ones wouldnt be a problem. Plus I wanted as little lift as possible and ditching a leaf gets me and immediate 1/4 less from the thickness and then whatever less from the loss of the spring. these will make a nice AAL for somebody, almost identical to the RE AALs I have in my stock leaf packs.

heres how it all sits supporting the weight of the rig, Not much arch which is nice, a flat spring flexes better I didnt measure before and after but judging by the distance from bump to axle I wanna say it gave me about 3 inches of lift. and this is with the shackle hole that's higher up. once the relocation brackets get here I'm thinking I can loose alot of that by leaning the shackle over alot since its at like 90 degress right now

if you look at the top of the tire in relation to the body line you can see how much higher the *** is lol

and while I was in there I went ahead and hooked up my Ebrake, the last part of my axle swap. used my super special drum to disk cable converter that also does jeep to ford. AKA cable clamp (patent pending) tossed some safety wire on the cable to hold it on for extra safety and bam finally have an ebrake again

Took it out for a spin and put my foot into her in 1st and no wrap, ah I love when a plan works out haha before It would wrap enough for the ujoint to max out an start knocking....

If anyone is wanting my stock leafs for a bastard pack let me know before I toss them, they have a RE 3in AAL but its broke in who knows how much you will get..

Glad you like the leafs. Relocation boxes are very necessary with the RE leafs. I wish they made them like an inch longer.

So planning a bonfire and wheeling trip tonight to Jean Lake bed. I have a trailer for just tonight for wood so I figured why not. Probably heading out around 9 or so and I plan on having the fire out by the island/lake thing in the middle. if you come out later you will probably see the fire. Everyone is welcome. Getting to the lakebed is simple just take Las Vegas blve south past the M about 15 and there is a road of to your left, look for skidmarks, and follow that fir about 2 miles and pick a trail to your left and follow it to the bed.

those are weld on rock rings, they just strengthen/ protect the wheel and don't do anything for holding the bead, well other than keeping the lip from deforming
