I would weld em.. My last set of silders had four bolts per mounting flange. And it felt, semi strong when you "rested" the jeep on them.
I Would like some round tube sliders for the MJ buddy. And maybe that bumper we spoke about.

Not welding just bolt on, I dont like to weld rock sliders on ...
How are you how's the MJ getting anything finished

My rock sliders are 10 bolts one side....

I test drove the black one^ from logandal/moapa whatever. Thing couldnt make it two miles before overheating. I didnt mention a thing to the guy, just watched the needle climb to 240degrees. Parked it running and just let it sit idling while we talked. Thing almozt got to 260 degrees, when he suddenly looked at the guage, hurriedly ended the conversation, and SPED OFF. And the ****er still wanted 2600.

driveshafts, transfercase, and crossmember are out.
Trans tomorrow night, cleaning and assessment. Then if I need a clutch kit I will order it. If just the slave needs replacement, theN off to vatozone.

Got fan shroud and lift shackles ordered. Working on trying to find out what kind of locks I have in my doors.

The ignition key says "for gm cars" and the door lock cylinders arent jeep brand( which makes me wonder who the **** has messed with this MJ.) But more along the lines of a chevy/pontiac/buick/gmc type. The gm key that I do have for the igniton, slips right into the door locks, so Im leaning that way. Still baffled though. May have to replace the linkages with ones from the junk yard.

beware of the green 2000 cherokee on craigslist out in parahump. asked the guy if it leaked he told me no and i crawled underneath and rear main seal was leaking oil real bad! And he told me its not that bad. After that I was like dude you just lied to my face. front end was damaged needed front bumper and mounts passenger fender, grill since it was pushed into the fender. he wanted 4500 i told him i was give him 3000 and 3500 at most. but compared to my 98 and his 2000 that was "stock" mine has a lot more power.

earlier jeeps...mj and XJ had the same style key as Chevy. One circle and one square end that are single sided. Not messed with, just as it is.

So what do I do? try oriellys? Autozone just sucks then?


The new door locks wouldnt fit into the articulating tab on the actuator rod.
Tried about 15 different chevy models, to match or at least get close, but none matched exactly....Ill go take a pic to explain.


its not the same style, so what I have to find a NOS batch of lock cylinders??
