Tony is open-open soe he had to gun it to make it through and slipped into the stump.

Niice! I can actually see the glass with my crappy work monitor, on the ground and in the cracks of the tree roots.

I wish I lived closer to off road parks, I've just got a crappy little spot thats got a dozen trails that are mostly mud.

So you are locked up front, too? Nice. Can you get by with just a rear locker?

For the most part Evans is not that hard. Unless there is snow on the ground you can get through most of the trails with no lockers. With just a rear locker you should be able to make it through every trail there. I ran for a while with just a rear locker and did every trail. With a front locker I just pick harder lines than I did before.

I'm really itching to get front lockers to go with my rear ARB, but I'm not really sure if I want to. Both my trucks have reverse D30s, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep them.

Not to mention I've gotta make sure I can use the same ARB compressor. I haven't really looked into it much.

I run a lockright in my HP Dana 30 with stock shafts and 35" tires. No problems yet, I just try not to get to heavy on the skinny pedal. I would love to switch to selectable lockers some day. It would be nice to be able to turn the lockers off and make it a bit more challenging.

I don't have the HP D30, otherwise I'd have less concern about locking it. What do you use in the rear?

I've got an ARB compressor and the lines for the rear, but I don't know if I can just add another switch, line, and gear set to the system and make it work. I spose I should just do the research.

it depends wut compressor you have and if you have another port for the front line. your wiring harness should have the connections for another switch so you would only need to buy the switch. i run an ARB in my front dana 44 and a detroit in my rear dana 60 and i run all of evans without the front locker turned on unless im playin around. the selectable up front definitely saves axles from breaking

Its a smaller compressor, I'll look to see if its got a model number on it.

I didn't look very hard when I messed with it last, and the PO didn't mount it very securely. I'll try and look tonight.

In the rear I have a welded Dana 44. It came with a trac-lock LSD that was worn out. I really wanted to re-gear and put selectable lockers in, but I couldn't afford it. Since it is strictly a wheeling rig I decided to save money and go with a welded rear and lockright in the front........ for now.

Ah, I see. That won't work for me as I'm now converting this into my winter truck, and having an open diff in the rear is nice in WI.

I still consider myself super lucky that the PO had picked up the lockers for the truck.

But any money I saved in NOT buying the lockers got washed out by the work I've had to do to get the truck road worthy.

Sadly I've had the truck for months and months, but have only been behind the wheel a dozen times, including moving it around my property to work on it.
