Default Who would like to...

I was wondering if anyone would like to help me change a tranny one of these days??

Since I just moved back up here from Vegas I don't know many people up here anymore haha, but I think it would be a good way to meet up with fellow Jeep guys shoot the **** and have a good time turning some wrenches.

YES I could take it into a shop and have them do it but its expensive and well it'd be nice meeting some of the people I will be soon wheeling with.

Just to let you know what I have is:

Built tranny (used) and TC ready to be put in.

All we need to do is install the CPS, TC, drop the old tranny and install the new one into the XJ.

Of course food and beer and soda will be provided.

But I'm just throwing it out there for anyone who would be interested in joining me.

Thanks guys! I'm actually located in White center, Seattle right off the 518 14th ave sw and roxbury.

I'm maybe 10-15 minutes northwest of the southcenter mall now called the westfield shopping center.

I also got a guy who will be helping out Wednesday and or Thursday and maybe Friday this week. I do not work until Saturday at noon so this week is primo for me.

So if you guys would be able and willing to help out for those days pm me and ill give you my phone number having a bunch of people is obviously better and more fun than just two.

Ok so we got the tranny up (balancing on the exhaust and a jack) lol but he doesnt know when hell even be able come back to help finish the job with me.

So what I need is somebody, anybody to help me put it up to the engine. Experience would be awesome!!

What needs to be done is just to tighten the torque converter down install tranny and bolt it on and reattach the wires (starter, ground) and the x-case.

But I'm willing to throw someone a few dollars (and I'm not talking about 5$) for their help. And of course you will be fed and beveraged up

Has to be at my house as its not driveable. Available all day everyday until Saturday at 10am

Do you have a transmission jack? because that makes it a lot easier. Harbor freight sells a attachment for a normal floor jack for like 40 bucks. That would make the job 150x easier.

No I don't have a transmission jack. I never bought one, all were using is a jack and a piece of wood and two sets of hands and its working really good.
