I live in the Cinebar / Mossyrock / Salkum area, a few miles from the infamous "Scale Shack" logging road. Been playing around up there a handful of times...
And around the "Winston Creek" logging roads too...
Anyone else around here in my neck of the woods and know of any other local spots??

I'm about 7 minutes from Scale Shack, here in Onalaska. There is another guy here goes by the name of Westy, he's just a few minutes away as well.

I haven't done much local wheeling around here. Went up scale Shack a time or two, but I've never wheeled Winston Creek. I'd like to get out there someday.

Check out the Elbe Hills campout 4wheeling run thread. Elbe is just a little ways past Morton. Thats only about a 30 minute drive for you. I live in Oak Harbor but, I have a small farm just past Mary's Corner on Hwy. 12. I grew up in Lewis County.....lived mostly in Chehalis.

I'm planning on rolling up there this weekend... But gotta look into my upper rear shock mount first.
Hopefully it don't fight me too much. Seems like a common issue, I need to search it & grab up pointers.

Spray it down with pb blaster, and don't plan on doing anything until you ready to fix it when it brakes... Because it likely will :-)

Well.... GOOD news. I lucked out. The previous owner said the left rear shock had issues... I've only had this rig for two weeks. Just now got under it and looked this over. The shocks are just fine, but my leaf springs are looking pretty tired.

Now I need to decide if I...
should remove the rear sway bar from my stock ride before I go play?
brake lines should be okay?

It may have been you I saw on Friday, 11 am or so
There was a white 4 door pumping gas @ Brenda's in Onalaska dude waved as I rolled past on 508 in my white 2 door.

I'll be up there tomorrow and see what this stock thing can do! I'm not going too crazy, just giving it the mud/snow test!!

I should have mine back on the road in the next week or two, we'll have to all get together and go hit something up.

Never heard of anyone have problems with the brake lines on a stock rig even with the sway bar removed. Rip that sucker out :-)

Rear sway bar is gone! Easy as pie.

My schedule is kinda crazy, between work family & extras... You know the drill I'm sure.
I try & get out when I can, but I'm still kinda pu$$i footing it cause this is my DD.

Gonna check level of T-case & top off if needed... then I'm ready to rock tomorrow!
Just wish I had the last of my CB hook up needs before I go out.

Trust me man, I know how it goes. It takes me weeks to accomplish what most guys do in hours, and only because the limits of a 24 hour day and 7 days a week. That, and mine isn't pulling DD duty right now.
