Stock is just fine :P I actually still have my rear sway bar, it seems to flex perfect with it there. Front one didnt reach when I lifted it, so it went bye bye. I know the feeling of ***** footing the jeep :P mine is my DD as well. I'm working on fixing that now. Then the swap meet should be fun with some bigger tires and who knows, maybe I'll find a bumper or something there too. Never know till you see what people got. Haven't decided if I wanna go bigger and get 35's and a little more lift. I'm just scared to break it... Even though I do have a parts heep in the back field.

Well, the combo of my negative arch leafs & the sway bar removed.... I'm really sagging now =/
You wouldn't think that flimsy sway bar would have any effect on the ride height... But for now I think I am going to throw it back in there.
Time to get to the junk yard and find me some s-10 leafs... & my buddy is doing a long arm on his grand cherokee so the bastard packs & his v8 grand cherokee coils I should be set up with plenty of clearance for my 31's.

Just the little bit of body roll difference without the sway actually had my 31's rubbing my factory flares o_O

Its always nice to have friends doing similar projects :P And I've pretty much been driving mine without the front sway bar since I bought it, so I just got used to the body roll Never had it normal lol

Waiting for my check from the IRS is torturous....
Think I'll have any luck finding a lift @ a wrecking yard or should I stick with the Grand Cherokee coils & bastard packs? I also read that I can swap rear disk brakes from a (explorer?) So I'm hoping to get hubs rotors calipers & proportioning valve for the swap

I have the output shaft seal for Ttransfer case on order... And gotta re gasket my t-stat. PO put new water pump & t-stat on just before we traded... He boogered up the gasket. Just barely weeping now, coolant is never down, just can smell it a little & see the slight weeping.

Westy... Have you already done your suspension mods or are you in the process? If you have "been there done that" I'll have to meet up with you and check your ride out and shoot the $h!t with ya. See what I'm up against.

I doubt they would care if you posted a link from another forum You could always call down to i5 auto and truck parts and see if maybe they have any cherokees in there with a lift kit. I see used kits show up on craigslist every once in a while, might be worth looking on there too.

The rear disk swap can be aquired from a ZJ or Liberty, and problem some other vehicles.

Let me know if you find any good XJ's in our area here, I'm looking for a good headliner and a few other interior things.

This is what I'm thinking now....
I don't like the add a leaf, so will still probably do the s-10 leaf set up for the rear.

Anybody wanna talk me out of it? Seems like a good option.
Will still need to drop t-case but seems like this kit will do....

How are your rear leafs now? Do they sag at all? If they sag I'd stay away from an add a leaf and just pony up for new leafs

Beyond sagging... I've got a negative arch! I was considering getting that lift seemed like a reasonable price for all included.
*Only using everything except the add a leaf. Still on the bastard pack idea for the rear. *

I'm not a fan of the add a leaf at all!

Should level or out well I think?
S-10 main leaf with my leafs should give me 3 1/2" in rear if I read it right.

Planning on going wrecking yard hopping Saturday still... I may decide to be a cheapo & run with original plan. Grand Cherokee coils & S-10 bastard packs, but will still have to pony up the cash for shocks. And probably do my own cheap t-case drop.

Transfercase drop kits are good for a short term fix but as soon as you put it on start saving for a SYE.

Thankyou! I will definitely appreciate all the help I can get!
I'll drop you a PM.
Even here at tax time I'm still trying to do this on a slim budget.

And looks like I can get into a SYE for $200-$300....
I'm rolling into a slow build, hopefully before long i can get a beater little car to commute in & start saving pennies towards putting this Cherokee where I want it.

Doubt he will keep the post up long... But this was my find
http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/pts/4340021825.html

Old man EMU 2" lift full leaf springs, 4x skyjacker shocks & 2" coil spacers. And all hardware, Used but great shape for $200

I made it to pick a part in Olympia and got a set of '95 V8 Grand Cherokee coils too for $45

Now I'm hoping to get my hands on
1 1/2" steel blocks for the leaf springs and should put me @ 3 1/2" all around!
(planning on NOT using the coil spacers)
Besides brake lines I think this should cover it for now...? Did I miss anything.
