Well, I wasn't going to say anything and just post up my parts for sale, but now that I hit the 15 post min, they upped it to 25, which won't be happening soon.
I don't know if this is a bad way of doing this, but my hands are tied and I'm not really in a mood to care. I've made the hard decision to get out of off roading before I really got started, and I'm dumping my jeeps. Watch on Craigslist in the next few weeks for parts, or PM me if there's something specific you want. I'm not shipping anything, but as I have a cousin in Auburn I can make it that far with parts if the price is right.
Parting out a 89 Renix. Have the whole drivetrain, body is shot, got it for parts. It runs and drives as is to give you some idea of it's condition. Particulars:
4L I6 engine
5 speed trans (not sure which one yet, haven't looked)
D35 rear axle, bone stock. Not sure if it's a C-clip or clipless, will check.
standard D30 high pinion front, I beleive it's hubless (no vacume disconnects)
I think it's got the NP231 tcase. Whatever was standard that doesn't have full time 4wd
Renix ignition.
Good radiator
(Overflow tank has been spoken for, but not taken yet)
A few doors are good, I cut and rolled the front fenders for the other jeep, but they're pretty banged up. there's a few windows (driver and rear passenger), and the rest of the doors are chopped or otherwise cut. A pair of half finished half doors in the mix. I'd bought it to put the engine in the jeep below.
The other XJ is going intact anytime or parted out after the black one is done. It is a 93 with the 4LHO and an AW4. The T-case, from what I hear, is the better one that has the full time 4WD, but as I'd like to put it in my daily driver when I get time, i won't let it go cheap. Also, the engine (or rather the HO head), will be one of the last things to go, as I'd like to build a stroker some day. I'll let it go if the price is right, though. The vehicle has just rolled over to 240k in the last month.
It's issue is a moderate radiator leak at the cap and what I believe to be a oil leak in the head gasket. Otherwise it runs great and was a lot of fun to bomb around the trails with. I'm going to put it all back to stock with it's origional fenders and bumper (I didn't cut the back as I never got big tires)
Forest green with tan interior, and other than the engine the only issues are a dinged crossmember, the rear hatch plastic fell off this morning, a few dents, and I removed the cruise control for my daily, but left the wiring of course, new one could be plugged right in. It's got some other rough issues, but nothing stopping it from having the head gasket replaced and having a nice driver or trail rig, I just don't have the time. I priced the head gasket at about $25, the manifold gasket at $10, and a new radiator at $125 if the shop can't fix it at $25. I'm torked at having to let it go, but I gotta.
Anyway, a note to moderators: I mostly got on this site to see what others are doing and so I've not posted enough to post this on the "for sale" thread, and for that I'm sorry. I'm not going to spam the site to up my post count just to post there, so if this cant be moved there (if it needs to be) and I've commited some worst kind of evil as far as posting goes, just delete my account and posts and I'll be gone, I'm bummed enough about having to give up my hobbies and I just don't care anymore.
Oh, forgot, I'm out of Yakima-selah-eburg area

If it was on a stock jeep for 89, not including the interior or body, it's availible. Mostly what is left is suspension and drivetrain. The thing could be caged into a buggy, I have all the plans solid modeled but I'm giving up.
As soon as the 89 is scrapped, if the 93 isn't sold as is, it goes on the copping block, and it was all stock too. That's one of the reasons I'm getting out now while I can-- I didn't have anything special invested yet.
as far as any heavy duty parts: if it came stock for that year, then yes, otherwise, no. Also, I'd say the 93's drag link (steering box end) is pretty worn and shouldn't be reused except as a spare.

I really ought to check again, as I'm not completely sure anymore. If it helps, the 89 was a pioneer trim package, and somewhere in the move the selector handle came loose from the tcase and I've not assessed it yet.
I'm still up to my elbows in my wife's daily driver and still in middle of the brakes, if I get done with that tonight I'll take a peek.
Sorry it takes a while to get back, I have no 'net on the weekends and weekdays are spotty at best, just moved.

Yeah, it's a 231, with the vac disco on it, but I'm guessing that can be bypassed if you don't need it.
Just checked out the underside, and here's the list:
non-c-clip dana 35 rear
high-pinion dana 30 front with vacume disconnects that I assume still work
NP231 tcase with the vacume disconnect control.
manual transmission (still haven't found the type yet, but it's either the Peugeot 5-speed, or an AX15 by the year)
From my research, the gearing is probibly 3.07 in the axles.
I'm debating on doing one final run around the yard before breaking it down to make sure of what works and what doesn't. I've not found anything wrong with it other than the frame is comprimised and the t-case selector has come detached from the tcase
I may already have buyers for the radiator, overflow bottle, and rear end, possibly the electric fan too.
Again, the engine is the last to go, but is also for sale.
I may also be willing to trade some parts for others. Just went out this weekend and busted a rear side window and banged up my crossmember as well as other parts. I probibly have everything but an extra window if I'm to sell the intact jeep still intact.
More info on the complete jeep for sale:
AW4 trans
NP242 T case
Chrysler 8.25 rear
high pinion Dana 30 front
Cross member is a little dinged but ok.
Has origional front fenders and a set of cut and rolled fenders for larger tires (currently on it)
Extra parts I have around:
Home built front bumper with a hook, made out of .25" cold rolled C-channel.
Reciever hitch for Grand Cherokee
many extra interior trim pieces in black and burgandy
Many extra guage cluster parts, switch modules, and other dash components
Several extra center console parts, including extra bezles with various knockouts or t-case selector panels
burgandy dash, the metal has some flash rust that can be removed.
(I guess, some of this is redundant, glancing back through the origional post)
I also have some RV trailer parts that are availible: roof AC, bathroom sink, tub, and toilet, kitchen stove and oven (gas) and sink (stainless), and the water heater, as well as various gas components. All of these are unknown condition and can be returned to me if they don't end up working, but I'm letting them go pretty cheap with possible exception of the AC, which is quite a bit newer. Oh, and the teardrop lens covers for the running lights are all pretty much good, but the bases are shot, which seems backwards to me, but if they're useful to someone, great!
Pretty much make me an offer on whatever you want (jeep parts or trailer), I've got a few prices on some parts that I'd like to see, but the rest is first come first served best offer.

Sent you a PM
Didn't start breaking the jeep down yet, had some other projects to take care of. I did, however, drive it around and test everything out. The all 5 gears of the trasn works, and all 4 wheels enguage in 4wd. There appear to be no leaks to speak of, but the engine is running a little rich and is backfiring every rare once in a while (may or may not have something to do with the straight pipe on the exhaust, as there is no muffler). Seems to articulate fine, sidehill and incline and all. The only thing I could not check is the transfer case selection as it's disconnected, and the axle gear ratio, which may not be stock (seems wierd that I had it revving in 5th in the yard, perhaps I had it in 4 lo? I have no indicators anymore). I'll do the mark and rotate check tomarrow, as well as perhaps upload a vid if I can figure that out.
