Timmy speaks the truth on that one. I have videos of guys thrashing, bashing and crashing their way through the Busy with built rigs on 1 ton axles. But, in my opinion a smaller narrower rig about the size of a Cherokee lifted, locked and geared right for 33-36 inch tires is the perfect recipe to get through the Busy. A good winch and a strong strappin' fella to pull cable and strap to trees is a good bit of equiment to have for the Busy as well...LMAO!!!

I'd like to go on this run, but after reading the post about not being "that guy" who holds up the crowd has me in question. Assuming I did go and something did break such as an axle or drive line... am I going to be left behind or hear about being "that guy" who held up the group? Those of you guys who I have wheeled with remember my jeep as the baby jeep with no scratches, now its come a LONG way since then. And because I can run everything but the 197 at Evan's Creek I am pretty confident that I could accomplish just about everything at Elbe with maybe a winch pull here and there on the busy. But there is always the slim chance something does go wrong and a part breaks. I will also put this out there... I don't leave anyone behind regardless how long it takes to help get them out safely!

Buddy, if your Jeep looks like it does in your Avatar then you are fine for the trails at Elbe.

Dude come on out. You never know until you try. None of us that went last time have Super Jeeps by any stretch of the imagination but what we did have since most everybody was in Cherokees was a large "combined" pool of common parts, Cherokee fix it know how and Cherokee get it unstuck know how. Heck one guy even brought a welder.

He didnt get left behind, 4 guys worked till 2 am to get his jeep out and back to the gravel. Some of us headed back to the camp because it was almost 12am and had kids to feed/get to sleep. Its a rule of thumb as a jeeper, no one is left behind.

Fwiw, the rig that broke was capable of the busy, the driver was just a little to peppy with his skinny pedal trying to get through things he should have winched through.

So dont get confused, you wont be left behind.

Talk about being that guy, the first 30 minutes into the trails after we arrived at elbe I sunk my jeep in a 5 foot hole of water lol. Spent an hour getting it running again, everyone was super helpful and willing to lend a hand. Im excited to meet everyone again and have a great weekend of wheeling.

It took me several tries to reply to this thread but, each time I started getting pissed off and going into a rant. The rest of the guys that were there that night in Elbe when that kid destroyed his Jeep on the Busy Wild have done several campout wheeling trips together. As a group, we worked together through several catastrophic trail breaks and BAD stuck situations but, working together we got through them. Now, there was plenty of jokes flying around the camp fire at night about whoever was the Schmuck that day...and yes several times it was me...but, nobody was ever "That Guy". I remember who you are, now. First of all, nobody on this thread made a "That Guy" post. I simply asked that each driver be prepared to fix or "unstuck" his Jeep "with the help of the entire group. Secondly, I don't like that you EMPHASIZED that you don't leave anybody behind regardless how long it takes to help them out safely. I took that as you implying that this group does not do that. If you want to come along and wheel with us, you are definitely invited. If not, you will miss a fun weekend of wheeling. Nuff Said.

Ok, Im not referring to anyone on this forum or any occasion. I'm talking about me and my interests. I go in with a group and come out with the group is what I'm saying. Weather its me or someone else. Reason why I put a very detailed reply buck is because this forum as long as I've been on it has had its "originals" group they did there thing together and the "new guy" group. I want to make dang sure who I wheel with! I'm not pointing at you, a certain trip out, or bringing up any history. I'm getting myself established and make sure I'm on the same page. And your your first line "it took me several tries to reply to this thread but, each time I started getting pissed off and going into a rant." is why I want to make sure I know who I'm wheeling with. I can stick with the people I've been Jeepin with this pass year if its that big of an issue.

Everybody breaks and everybody gets stuck. All were saying is we dont want "that guy" that doesnt know what hes doing and doesnt know how to fix their jeep. Every trip that i have gone on i have never left a fellow wheeler stuck in the wood.

The group you call "originals" I call the "Regulars". It is a constantly growing group because every time a wheeling trip is announced, everybody on the forum is invited. When a new guy shows up he introduces himself. If that guy goes on a second wheeling trip he becomes a Regular. There has never been a "new guy" group that I know of. That must be a new thing that happened while I was out of the country. I really hope all of the guys in your "new guy" group come to Elbe then we can all have a big grip and grin and be one big Cherokeeforum NW chapter wheeling group again. I don't know why you never showed up for another forum wheeling run with the "Regulars" after your ride along at the last Elbe camp out wheeling run. I seem to remember starting several wheeling run threads and you would post a reply starting with "I'd like to come along but...." and you'd never showed up at any of them. How about no more excuses. No more worrying about any body saying anything to you or about you. No more worrying about being that guy. Just come out to Elbe in May for the camp out and wheel with us. It's the best way to get yourself "established". If after that you want to go back to Jeepin with your new guy group well that choice is yours to make. Just know you are invited unconditionally.

I'll try and make it a point to make it to this run. Can't wait guys! It's gonna Be a blast! Hopefully if all goes as planned this week I'll have a tow rig so I don't have to worry about driving the thing back and forth.

Hey buck, maybe I could even get the aw4 inspection plate from you? Haha

Yeah it's a full size, I don't think I'll be trying the Busy Wild regardless haha, I've seen many videos of full built rigs having trouble there.

You know what I saw that thing in my garage the other day and I thought of you. I will bring it with me. The boy and I will probably stay at my place over on Hwy. 12 that's really close to you in Onalaska, the night before we head up to Elbe.
