Ok well the 1989 jeep cherokee 4.0L just died on me one day. I changed out the batterey cables, coil, new spark plugs and wires, a new distrubtor, a new alternator(sp?) and also the crank postion sensor. Basically I did everything besides a new engine almost. All that didnt help at all. So we took it down to the timing chain and the timing chain jumped on me. So my timeing was off. Going to buy a new chain this weekend and put it in and hopefully this works now!!

Its cranking but not firing correct?

Edit: Not trying to make you not think you found the problem, just sayin. Also If you seen the timing chain was off, Im sure that was it.
