Default how high?

How high can you lift a cherokee before you have to drop the t-case? and also, is it ok to have the back lifted 1 inch more than the front?

All jeeps are different so there is no true answer to your question. Some can go 5+ inches and be fine and others need one at 2 inches. Typically pre 96 do better with lifts and usually can get away without one for your average lift. (Something with the yoke design or something.) But you really wont know if your jeep needs one till you lift it.

And to answer your second question no you should be fine if the rear sits higher than the front, but why would you want that? Will you be towing a lot or just have the rear weighted down a lot.

Exactly what happened to mine. Mine only has a two inch lift and I had to drop the transfer case.

If they are in good condition it is well worth it in my opinion.

With that much lift you will "probably" need at least a t-case drop if not a sye. You will also need an adjustable trackbar, at least lower control arms(or drop brackets), and new u-bolts because you never want to reuse old u-bolts.
So it sounds like a partial kit that will need some more $$$ put into it.
