Default xj headlights

Would i be able to fit something like this on my 96 xj without doing the 97-01 front end conversion?

Don't waste your time those suck for head lights,Get you a good set of h4 housings like hella and the headlight wiring harness that has the relays.

just get yourself a set of led trucklites. they fit right in the location of your stock sealed beam head lights and they're plug and play.
worst case, you will need an anti flicker module that also just plugs inline.

i have ran the H4 conversions in my xj and have them in my F650 right now, and all i can say is, they suck. i have a spare set of glass H4 housings brand new in box on my shelf. i probably will never use them.

To answer your question - no - those are made to replace the 97-01 headlight and bezel, the bevel on the earlier model wraps around the corned of the vehicle and would not accommodate the light you posted.

^Yeah, this. They won't fit without the conversion. Also, the light output on those is garbage, and many have had the useless LED's either not work out of the box, or die shortly after install. They're really quite terrible.
