I even put back the old bulbs and still no background lights... The other lights like the airbag and 4x4 lights work

Switch not the problem. Removing LED bulbs...... Incandescent bulbs don't work, fuse is holding. **** discovers that even thou the bulbs look symmetric...they are not. Turn bulbs around. They work. Replacing incandescent with Led one by one, 4 led working, install 5 th one... Fuse 6 blows again, change to a different led bulb.. yay they all work.. .**** what a mess... And a waste of 35 bucks in unnecessary parts.

Hey, go to Amazon.com just type in #10 led. And u will find them for the dash... Although I did the led on my 99, it was a waste of money, the white prelit face seen above was Much cooler....

Those white gauges for the 97+ with the backlight look awesome. Do you have any pics of them installed with the needles? The one pic at night (user Thor) I cannot see the needles at all and don't know if you loose that contrast with those gauge face.

That looks amazing in the dark, but I hate the white background. Can I find these in a different color or black? I've looked on eBay but I can't really find much.

Can't wait to experiment with these on my XJ. If only LEDs had the same light diffusion as incandescent bulbs, we wouldn't have these weird problems with hotspots and what not. I would like to hear more reports on if you guys can dim these bulbs with the headlight switch or not!
