Xj crank position sencor

Hey guys I need a crank position sensor for my 99 classic I was gonna grab one at the scrap yard and I was wondering what year xj's or any other jeep with the same tranny I could use.. My jeep is an automatic straight 6 4x4. Going to the scrap yard in the morning

I would look at a site like rockauto and note the part# for yours, then look at other years to find which years inter-change. Wast week I got a Napa premium (Echlin), $47.28 W/Ca. tax. That's for my 90 though. I'm sure that different units for different years will vary.
You might find a challenge getting AT one at the JY. I've seen posts where guys got at them from above. Have fun and good luck!

id say look for a 96/01 to be safe... swapped the used one from my parts jeep and it worked fine. be carefull not to drop the bolts into the bellhousing!!! lol then you gotta take the "cat catcher" cover off the bottom and hope you can fish it out from behind the torque converter. PITA!
