Or if it has a flat spot on the bottom it's an 8.25 and if not its a 35 in back and it's definantly a 30 in front.

A bit yeah. If you fill in all the numbers on that page you'll see that at 60 MPH (or 100 KM/H in the metric one) you'd add something like another 100 RPM after the tires and gears.

Sweet, I am going to run my current axle till' I can't bear it, then I will swap. I might even find an 8.25 with disc brakes before then and sell this rusty donor I have. Is a stock(single diaphragm brake booster) enough to run disc brakes in the back(have one to replace as soon as I get the time and courage)? by the way I just installed a Lubelocker and am thoroughly impressed. 70w140 mobile one and the rest filled with lucas, almost no whine, still a little vibey with 2* shims but it rides like a caddy compared to what it used to. I should have got into working on my heep a long time ago.

I couldn't have done what I have without this forum. May the internet live forever. I am starting a new job soon and will be become a supporter with a big cherokeeforum sticker on the back. Thank you everyone.
