i just drove my jeep home with the smoothest running 4.0 i have ever driven. i just want to say thanks to all that tried to help and learned a valuable lesson in just 1 tooth off on the cam can do.

Headlights
I have a UK spec (right-hand drive) 1995 Jeep Cherokee 2.5 diesel (XJ). I need to import it into Bulgaria which is a left-hand drive country. To get through the vehicle inspection test, I need to change the headlights from right-hand to left-hand drive. Will left-hand drive lights fit straight in or do I need a conversion kit? Or, can the original lights just be adjusted? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

ok, just ripped my entire passenger door apart. we are trying to fix a speaker problem that I have in two of mine and a friend has in one of hers. the speaker will be on if the door is open all the way and when slammed shut. sometimes they will go off if i hit a bump. i'm wondering if we should be looking at the speaker itself or if we should be looking through the wiring?

ok, just ripped my entire passenger door apart. we are trying to fix a speaker problem that I have in two of mine and a friend has in one of hers. the speaker will be on if the door is open all the way and when slammed shut. sometimes they will go off if i hit a bump. i'm wondering if we should be looking at the speaker itself or if we should be looking through the wiring?

I cut my wires right there, capped them off, and ran some regular 16g speaker wire through, from before I cut, to a few inches before the speaker. Never a problem since.

it's the wire running though the door - very common problem. Remove the kick panel by the brake pedal, you'll find the connector there. Replace the wire between the connector and the speaker using the old one to pull the new wires though the door accordion.

so replacing the wires running to the door didn't work so we are going to try the entire wire from radio to speaker, does anyone have a wiring diagram or color key for a 99 cherokee?

Alright all the wrong info was givin. Take out your condenser and leave the pump how it is. Your pump won't run with no pressure in the lines and you don't have to worry about anything going wrong. You don't need a bypass pulley. If your that worried about it running unplug the power wire to the compressor.
worked as you said and my monster is back on(off!!!) the road!!
With 2 days of broken clips, fabricating spacers and knocking welded screws out I am now a rad '90 to '92 conversion master
NOW, I gotta tackle the 'death wobble'
!! only hits at 55mph so hope new bushings and such will getRdone
