Any benefits to an SYE over a t-case drop aside from a little extra ground clearance? I'm not a hardcore wheeler, if I ever become one I'll go SYE but for now I don't see why a t-case drop wouldn't work just as well? I just want to get rid of the vibes. 4.5 inch lift, 33 inch tires, NP242 t-case.

Default 2000 Jeep Cherokee problem

My fuel gauge, speedometer and radio are not working. I have checked the fuse and when I tried to replace it, it was immediately blown out. What could this possibly be and how do I go about fixing this?

Yup go with a drop...unless u plan on going higher anytime soon...

Don't ever plan to go higher(maybe shackles to even her out). This is the DD, not the toy. Bought it this height and just want to make it as smooth as I can. I can get a drop, and shims and install myself instead of paying a shop to do the HNT, so I will.

Don't quote on this...but at just 4.5" I would go with 2...4 might be a lil to much for 4.5"

What size fuse?

It popped immediately because there is too much current going through it, and if I'm not mistaken that means there's a short somewhere in there. And I hope I'm wrong on that because if that's the case I'll be praying for you.

I have a '91 XJ with the 4.0 HO and I was wondering
if 14 to 16.5 MPG is normal? Its got 235/75R15 size tires
I owned a '90 before this with the Renix fuel system and I got 17 to 19 average with it. Will I just have to enjoy the suck and pay more? Or is there a common problem with these that I could do?
Oh and the fuel pump seems to
be acting up since I changed it out for one I bought at a junk yard.
It starts harder now with this pump compared to the old one before it gave out. It doesn't sound consistent as well When the engine is running.
Not sure if that would affect my fuel economy or not, just giving any info I can.

Gearing may play a role in differences in MPG.

I am looking to replace an intake manifold of a 2001 XJ Cherokee 4.0L with one from a 1996 Grand Cherokee. I broke it trying to manipulate the power steering pump. The engines appear to be the same. Will the intakes interchange?

They will, but you're going to loose some power due due to the intake design being different. You will also need to reroute the vacuum lines since the ports are in different spots.

couple things to try:

1) reach up under the Jeep between the fans and grab rod that connects the two latches together. Push toward the drivers side.

2) If that doesn't work pull the headlight bezels and the headlight cans. When pulling the cans, just undo the spring and they will pop out and not affect the aim of the headlights. There are two bolts on the hood catch brackets. One behind the headlight and one above. Pull the bolts and the hood will come open.
